Paris Peace Builders Award Recognition Ceremony

On 5 May 2026, the Peace Builders Award Recognition Ceremony brought together supporters, partners, and members of the international peacebuilding community to honour individuals whose work embodies the values of dialogue, inclusion, cultural understanding, and human connection. Organised by Peace Museum Paris, the ceremony celebrated the contributions of individuals who help to strengthen a culture of peace within communities and institutions.

The evening emphasised the increasing significance of cultural initiatives that promote empathy, contemplation, and shared accountability in today's fractured world. By recognising emerging leaders and experienced professionals, the ceremony served as both an awards event and a reminder that peacebuilding begins with education, cooperation, and meaningful human engagement.

Peace Museum Paris is part of the wider Peace Museums.org initiative, which is built around the mission of “peace education through the lives of peace heroes”. It believes that peace should inspire real curiosity, reflection and action in people's lives, rather than remaining merely an idea or a slogan.

Drawing inspiration from the experiences of former interns and participants at Peace Museum Vienna, who went on to do meaningful work in different parts of the world, Peace Museum Paris aims to promote a broader culture of peace through education, storytelling and intercultural dialogue. The museum aims to inspire visitors, students, tourists and local communities to gain a better understanding of peace and positive peace, a society built on dignity, justice, understanding and human connection.

Rather than simply opening another museum, Peace Museum Paris hopes to create a place where ideas, stories and human experiences encourage people to think differently about the world and their role within it.

This year, the Paris Peace Builders award was presented to Aniela Sow, Inna Uvarova and Grace Hustace. These individuals embody the spirit and mission of the Peace Museum Paris through their work and dedication.
